Information We Collect

Analytics Data

We use PostHog to understand how people use SlowPhone so we can improve the app. This includes anonymous usage data such as which onboarding steps are completed, paywall views, and video selections. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for tracking across other apps.

Advertising & Attribution Data

We use the Facebook SDK to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. If you grant permission through the App Tracking Transparency prompt, the following data may be collected and shared with Meta (Facebook) for ad attribution and optimization:

• Device identifier (IDFA) for ad attribution
• App events such as app installs and subscription purchases
• Advertising data via SKAdNetwork
• Purchase history for ad campaign optimization

If you decline the tracking prompt, none of this data is collected or shared with Facebook. You can change this permission at any time in your device Settings under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device and your iCloud account:

• App settings and preferences
• Downloaded videos for offline playback
• Subscription status cache
• Onboarding selections (child age, screen time goals)

What We Do Not Collect

• No names, email addresses, or account information
• No photos, camera, or media access
• No location data
• No contacts
• No data from children using the app

Subscriptions & Payments

All subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your credit card information. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment processing.

Video Downloads

Videos are downloaded from our CDN. Standard server logs may include IP addresses, but these are not linked to your identity and are not used for tracking.

Children's Privacy

SlowPhone is designed for parents to use with their children. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. The app contains no advertising shown to children, no in-app chat, and no user-generated content. We are compliant with COPPA.

Third-Party Services

• Apple — App Store, iCloud, StoreKit (payment processing)
• Meta (Facebook) SDK — Ad attribution and campaign measurement (only with your permission via ATT)
• PostHog — Anonymous product analytics
• Supabase — Video hosting (public bucket, no authentication required)

Your Rights

• Decline or revoke tracking permission at any time in device Settings
• Delete the app to remove all local data
• Manage iCloud data through your device Settings
• Cancel subscription through the App Store

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
